The counselling room is a place to offload and gain a different perspective and
understanding of our lives. Children and young people are encouraged to explore who they are and the things they find difficult. For older children, this can be done through art, creative activities, CBT strategies, metaphor, and talking that is guided carefully based on their individual interests and abilities. For younger children, much of our time is spent working through play and story approaches as well as fun strategies to help manage big emotions.
How to book.
Finding the right counsellor for your child is important and your initial phone call or email to me will give you an opportunity to explain what you might be looking for and to ask any questions you may have. I will ask a number of questions about your child, the difficulties they are facing and some information about your family.
I can also offer discounted rates should you wish to purchase a block booking of 6 sessions, paid in advance. Please get in touch for more information.
